Hello! My name is Jess. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a M.S in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and I am an Advanced Certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist. I am bilingual in English and Spanish (hablo Español).

Following the death of my dad in 2019, I had very limited resources to help process what had happened and how to deal with it all, despite being in the mental health field and experiencing previous losses. The experience of losing some of my grandparents, family members, my parent's divorce, and leaving my home state did not compare in intensity. Intellectually I knew the facts and what I “should be doing”, but emotionally I was a wreck. Later that year, a coworker introduced me to the Grief Recovery Method and how powerful the program is in helping people. It wasn’t until the Fall of 2021 that I had the opportunity to go through the program myself and be trained to be able to help others. Right before the training started, our family dog, Onix, passed away at the age of 12 years old. Our family was devastated and heart broken. I feel much more knowledgeable, empowered, and at peace with the process of grieving after I completed the program. Since becoming certified as a Grief Recovery Specialist, I now want to help others experience the same healing and recovery.
