Hello there! I'm Kate and I live and work in Reno, Nevada. Glad you've found your way here!
I have built my life in social services and human services for the last two decades, with a short stint in public policy, serving many diverse populations throughout the Pacific and Western United States: women and girls, active duty military personnel and veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness/unhoused, persons who are incarcerated, and many others.
Like so many, I too have lived a life filled with change, loss, transition and of course, grief. It wasn't until I attended a Grief Talk that I realized all the ways I did not resolve the grief I had been carrying around for over a decade. I decided it was time to bring purpose to my past pain. I completed certification and learned how to look back on those moments again without the same heartbreak. Resolving my own personal grief during the certification training was tantamount to being able to help others with their grief and loss.
Doing the work to overcome grief was hard. But living with the heavy feelings of grief in my heart would have been much harder. It is my hope that I will be able to help as many people as I can heal their hearts, too.
