I wanted to find additional information on grief to help my directees. I brought to the group the grief I was experiencing missing my pre-Alzheimer's mother while I was caring for her in my home. I honored the process of the Grief Recovery Method by actively showing up and completing the work alongside a very caring Specialist, and afterward there was such a profound shift in the way I felt that I knew eventually I would be trained as a Specialist. Offering this program to others is important to me. This program is for people who prefer to work one-on-one rather than in a group setting. The 7-session format utilizes the same proven materials as the group programs and can be completed in-person with a Grief Recovery Method Specialist specifically trained to help people move through loss with dignity and respect.
Our support groups offer a safe, evidence-based environment for grievers to take effective and lasting action, no matter the type of loss experienced. These groups are led by Grief Recovery Method Specialists, trained and certified by the Grief Recovery Institute.
