I completed the Grief Recovery Method Specialist training in 2025 and, as a result, was captivated by the impact of the program. Experiencing being a participant in the program is embedded in the training, which for me was delivered by Grief Recovery Method Specialist and Trainer, Catherine Best. Going through the program personally has been a true game changer for me in my own recovery journey.
As a Professional Certified Coach through ICF, I felt a deep need to help many that I coach truly recover from a variety of losses that continue to have a deep impact on their personal and professional lives. After extensive research, I stumbled upon this program, which upon further study, made sense to me from a restorative perspective AND had evidence to back up the efficacy of the program.
I have a heart for those who have experienced losses and trauma and view this program as a powerful addition to my other coaching and training. I have been facilitating Positive Intelligence Coaching and doing leadership coaching with administrators and leaders since 2017.
Additionally, training professionals in the criminal justice sector to communicate to offenders with compassion and empathy, while promoting internal inspiration for change has been part of my work as a Motivational Interviewer Trainer, being a member of MINT (Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers) since 2019.
My background is in counseling and leadership. I was both a School Counselor and School Administrator for years before becoming a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation.
My recent grief coaching with ministry leaders and others has led me to this work. I truly agree with the assertion from Grief Recovery Specialists that one percent of us are grievers – we may not be aware of all the losses we have experienced that may be impacting our current sense of peace and well-being. I trust that stepping forward into this program will be life-changing and fulfilling for you!
