I am the CEO and Founder of Legacy & Hope, LLC, a boutique company that provides end of life services, and offers online and in-person support to individuals for grief, loss, and bereavement care. I am presently a member of the Board of Directors for the National End of Life Doula Alliance. As Former Director of Family Services and Managing Director of several cemeteries, I was entrusted with the honor and responsibility of meeting the immediate needs of individuals that experienced the loss of loved ones. At one point in my career, I was laying to rest approximately 1,800 people annually. While working in this capacity, I saw the sadness that individuals were left with after my professional duties were completed. As a result, I felt a strong calling to do more for them. You see, I knew that they would go home, and their friends would slowly stop visiting, or try to speed them through the grief process, or even worse, eventually stop calling all together. Most of them would be left alone to deal with their grief. So, I made the decision to become a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist to help them process through their pain. I'm pleased to say that this decision has enhanced the overall quality of care that I currently provide my clients.
I am a member the National End of Life Doula Alliance (NEDA), and a proud member of The Hospice Foundation of America. My certifications with The Grief Recovery Institute, as well as The Trauma Healing Institute, through which I help children that have experienced trauma; affords me the opportunity to provide a safe environment where people are given specific tools to help themselves recover from loss and ultimately lead happier lives. I am a trusted professional that is called on to assist communities during traumatic events; I facilitate action programs in the way of retreats, seminars; workshops; support groups, and one-on-one sessions which help individuals move beyond the pain of loss. Grief is not exclusive to death, divorce, loss of a job, or loss of health, etc. Many different life experiences can produce grief. The programs that I facilitate can focus on a variety of over 40 types of loss that one may experience during a lifetime. I also instruct an educational program for Pet Loss, and adults: Helping Children Deal with Loss.
I work globally online and accept in-person clients within the Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Delaware areas. Feel free to contact me for a complimentary 30 minute consultation.
