I am Mitra Mohamadzadeh, and I work with organizations that want to create a culture of diversity and inclusion that will reduce the cost of mental health and turnover and increase awareness of unconscious bias.
I am the Founder of Academy of Change, Author, Motivational Keynote Speaker, Trainer, Certified Personal and Professional Development Coach, PhD Candidate in Leadership and Organizational Strategy, Certified NLP Coach and Grief Recovery Method Specialist.
In my life, I experienced multiple painful and life-altering losses including: three car accidents, loss of my mother in a fatal car crash, abandonment of our home during the Iran Iraqi War, my grandmother, my dear 18-year old cousin in a military air raid, my first love, an arranged marriage, one miscarriage and one still birth, victim of broken social relationships, betrayals, loss of trust, moving to a new country, and being laid off.
In 2016, I became a coach to enhance the positive social impact on the lives of newcomers and immigrants through discovering themselves to seeing the light. I work with them to develop personal and interpersonal skills that enable them to embrace changes positively, diversity, multicultural intergenerational acceptance, and adapt to a new culture faster with more confidence.
By courageously taking the actions of The Grief Recovery Method®, I moved on and said goodbye to all grief, pain and sorrow from all these negative events in my life. Also, I learned how to complete incomplete relationships in my life that ended or changed. Through my very own healing, I developed a strong desire to work with my clients to move beyond the unique and individual pain, isolation and loneliness caused by losses.
It was an amazing support group, very different method from what I have experienced before. This method is very simple and at the same time very effective. I like how I could relate to the stories that were written in the book and how the uniqueness of each personality and each relationship was emphasized.Support GroupsParticipant in Toronto, Ontario02/13/2020
