My name is Lisa Hablitzel. I am a Licensed Social Worker with a master’s degree from The Ohio State University. I began my career in crisis intervention and then transitioned to working as a mental health/substance abuse therapist. I briefly worked at a Senior Center before returning to counseling, which remains a true passion of mine. Throughout my career, I have had the honor of walking alongside others in their grief and loss, but I often felt limited in providing the tools needed to help them find closure. I was pleased to discover the Grief Recovery Method, an evidence-based program that offers concrete steps to help individuals move toward healing.
I began my own work with the Grief Recovery Method in 2018, saw how well it worked, and wanted to share that with others. I, too, have experienced grief from the losses I have faced in my life, including the deaths of my grandparents, a career change, and infertility. This program has helped me take the steps needed to complete the relationship I had with the pain of those losses.
If you choose to participate in The Grief Recovery Method, it would be an honor to work with you.
