I am Marsha Bishop and unexplainable JOY is my goal for every day of my life. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, pastor and director of a faith-based non-profit called LAM.
My journey to GRM includes the death of very significant people in my life. The first was the sudden death of my dad, and eleven years later when our three year old died in a traffic accident. I have also had to grieve the loss of hopes and dreams that were destroyed because of other people's choices--choices that resulted in job loss that included selling almost everything and moving far from our home of twenty years. As well as, church-related conflicts over the years.
I have come to understand that each loss is unique, because our losses are ours, personally. In pursuing happiness, taking very necessary action to move through our sorrow and grief for each relationship or loss, is our only hope.
Perhaps you've shared my frustration: I could never get my personal experiences and feelings of grief to line up with "stages" someone told me I should be 'in.' I was thrilled to discover the Grief Recovery Method, where the action we take is based on our personal feelings and emotions that come with our loss.
All around me, it seems, I meet people who are hurting, who are anxious, and who need help. GRM has taught me that recovery from loss is achieved through the choices we make as we honestly and openly grieve. From the moment we begin, GRM offers an action-based program that works!
My passion is to offer help to the hurting, to the anxious, to those who need help with grief, in pursuit of wholeness, happiness, and love.
I live in Vincennes, Indiana and I am available to those in southwest Indiana, as well as southeastern Illinois, for one-on-one or group sessions.
