I was first introduced to the Grief Recovery Method approximately 28 years ago and completed the program to help me deal with difficult familial relationships as well as loss of relationships. A few years later, having already learned the tools through the Grief Recovery Method, I was able to work through the death of my mother during what would have been an otherwise joyful life event, the birth of my first child. It had been a lifelong goal of mine to become a specialist with the Grief Recovery Method and I was finally able to become certified in August of 2022. The Grief Recovery Method has given me the ability to have a different perspective on loss throughout my life and raise my children with a healthy mindset for dealing with loss. I have been able to be supportive to others during their own times of loss and be a "heart with ears" rather than one who offers (unintentionally) unhelpful words.
I am in the Lincoln, Nebraska area and offer the Grief Support Groups, Grief Support 1 on 1, Helping Children With Loss, and Pet Loss Support Groups.
My educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Human Relations and a Master of Arts in Counseling Degree in clinical mental health counseling.
