My name is Mona Rahimi, I am a Certified Grief Recovery Method (GRM) specialist, certified from Grief Recovery Method Institute. 15 years ago, in a massive house fire, I lost my 7 year old son and I almost died trying to save him. After such a trauma, you are lost as what to do to get better. I was determinded to move on, at least thats what everybody around me was telling me to do. I had a 10 year old daughter who survived the fire, unharmed, so according to society, I was to put aside my pain, move on and raise her like nothing has happened. Sadly what they offered for moving on was extremely unhelpful and was not making me feel any better. So I went in pursuit of getting better, and I found Grief Recovery Method. Every word they said made sense, every action they asked me to take soothed my sad heart and every step I took made me realize that losing a child is not "A Life Sentence". Now that I have done the GRM program, now that I no longer allow past circumstances have a negative impact on my present, I would like to share my experience of ”grieving and healing ”with other grievers.
I provide the GRM program face to face and online in one-on-one format. In addition, I provide the program in group settings in the Valley and West Los Angeles. When I lost my son, I had a 10 year old daughter to raise and wish I had the knowledge I have now to help them in her grief process. That's why I have a special love and passion for the program GRM offers called, "When Children Grieve, for Adults". It has all the right tools to help your grieving child process his/her grief and I definetly know all about that, a grieving child.

This program is for people who prefer to work one-on-one rather than in a group setting. The 7-session format utilizes the same proven materials as the group programs and can be completed in-person with a Grief Recovery Method Specialist specifically trained to help people move through loss with dignity and respect.
