Hi, my name is Elizabeth (Liz) and I am so happy that you are considering the Grief Recovery Method. I would like to share a little about my journey.
I have had many very difficult losses in my life. I have had all forms of abuse, marital issues, military enlistment (son), loss of jobs, loss of religion at one point, loss of relationships, loss of friends, loss of pets, loss of family members to suicide, breast cancer, Alzheimer’s, heart disease, stillborn babies and my abortion and many other illnesses. Most recently, I lost my uncle and aunt within 3 weeks of each other. I grew up with them in my life. I went to my uncle’s funeral to take my 90-year-old mother and when her sister passed, I was going to take her, and I fell and broke my wrist. I could not make that funeral and I was devastated. I live many hours away and no way to go, due to recovering from my fall.
Becoming a Grief Recovery Specialist, I felt that I could help others through difficult times in their lives with all my grief experience, knowledge and training I have had in my life.
I was born in Midland, Texas and have lived in most all the major cities in Texas. I now live in the West Houston in Fulshear, Texas and work in Stafford, Texas next to Sugarland, Texas, South Houston. I am married to a US Marine for 32 years with 2 adult children and 2 grandchildren. In my training I am trained to help my community in person, groups and online with the Grief Recovery Method. I will be able to help other in pet loss and helping children with loss very soon.
I look forward to working with you and helping you through your grief.
