I became a Grief Recovery Specialist after a lifetime shaped by both deep love and profound loss. I recently retired from a career as a technology executive, but the role that defined me most was raising my three daughters as a single father. They are now my closest friends and the greatest evidence of what healing, connection, and intentional parenting can create.

My journey through grief began early, with the suicide of my father when I was a teenager, and continued years later with the loss of my ex‑spouse when my daughters were young. That period — a cascade of losses, life changes, and identity shifts — taught me firsthand how isolating grief can feel, and how essential compassionate support truly is.

Nearly two decades later, while revisiting old correspondence around my ex‑spouse’s death, I rediscovered the impact that one caring professional had on me during my darkest season. That moment led me to the Grief Recovery Institute, where I trained and became certified to help others navigate their own losses with clarity, safety, and hope.

Today, I help people move forward with their grief. With completion, their lives can continuein a healthy, heart‑centered way.

My in person grief recovery services are available within approximately a 100 mile radius from Portland, Oregon. I also provide technology – enabled services worldwide.
