My name is Iola Burnsed, and I am honored to walk alongside you on your journey to healing. As a faith-based Grief Recovery Specialist with over 20 years of experience, I provide compassionate support to those navigating life's most difficult challenges.
My story is one of resilience and transformation. I have endured many types of loss...parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, a miscarriage and even the devastating loss of my own son when he was only 18 years old. I've known the crushing weight of divorce, emotional abuse, spiritual abuse, broken relationships, lost friendships and the on-going pain of a prodigal child. I have also lost all my worldly possessions to a house fire, was forced to quit a job I loved, and have gone through 7 major surgeries. There have been many unmet hopes, dreams and expectations over the years, as well as the loss of concepts like: security, trust, respect and hope.
The weight of my grief was overwhelming at times. Even with a strong faith, counseling, and the support of loved ones, I searched for deeper healing.
It was through The Grief Recovery Method (GRM) that I found the TOOLS to process the pain of these losses. I believe God led me to the GRM for the transformation needed in my life. Today, I have the God-given joy and peace that surpasses all understanding and this is what I want for you!
Inspired by this life-changing experience, I became a GRM Specialist. I now blend my personal journey and professional expertise to help others find hope and healing.
