The Grief Recovery Method was very different than I expected, in the best possible way. I am forever positively impacted. Moving forward I know I have the tools to process losses of my own. In addition, I am confident that by facilitating this step by step method as a GRM specialist for others I will be able to help with their own losses to move forward in their lives rather than being buried in grief.

I was given the Grief Recovery Handbook from a friend. After reading the book, I wanted to start working on a previous relationship, as requested, and then worked on a current loss and I saw the value of the method in my own life. I looked at the website to see if there was a way to help others with this method. That is how I found the Certification process. I am very grateful for the training.

I work in the companion animal health industry and for years I’ve had and seen lots of incomplete grief. I completed 2 certifications for death doula, but they didn’t have the answers on what to do about grief. I spoke with a good friend and she said the grief recovery book had help her in the loss of her spouse. I was listening to the book on audio and agreeing with everything I heard, when the 2nd employee in 6 years died. I was numb and devastated and knew there had to be some answers. So I signed up for the course and I’m so happy I did. This is going to reverberate through not only my companion animal practice, but the animal community. I also have a special interest in helping veterans with PTSD. I’m so blessed to have had amazing instructors and co participants in my training. I feel well prepared and supported to start my pilot session ASAP and I’m already planning the information meetings for my industry. Thank you so much from my heart to all of yours for sharing this wonderfully powerful method!

The training was absolutely brilliant. So much more than I could imagine or expect. The trainer was able to gently hold each of our hearts, in a friendly, patient and extremely professional manner. Her knowledge was extensive and the training was well organised. Before I embarked on the training I had my doubts as to how I'd be able to stay focused for such a long period of time on such a sensitive topic, my doubts were alleviated 5 mins into the training. I feel blessed to have had Sandi as my trainer. Once again, thank you so much, I felt seen and heard all the way through the training. I've learned so much and feel confident to go out there to help other people recover from grief.

The Grief Recovery Specialist Certification Training was the best training I have ever received. Not only is the method fantastic, but my instructor (Sandi Derby) was incredible. I would absolutely recommend this training and cannot wait to implement this method in my work.
