Chaplain David Kuntz currently serves in the U.S. Army Reserves and as Chief Chaplain at the VA Central Ohio Healthcare System in Columbus, Ohio. With over 20 years of ministry experience among the hurting, broken, and grieving, he brings both compassion and understanding to those navigating loss. His military background, along with a decade of service in a children’s hospital, has equipped him to sit with people in pain when others may not.
As a certified Grief Recovery Method® Specialist, Chaplain Kuntz is passionate about walking alongside individuals in their grief journey. He facilitates an 8-week Grief Recovery program five times a year at the main VA facility. This program is offered exclusively to veterans and is completely free of charge.
In this class, veterans are invited on a journey—stepping into the unfamiliar terrain of grief, not alone, but with guidance and support. Along the way, Chaplain Kuntz provides practical, proven tools to help participants move through and ultimately find healing beyond their grief.
