I was first introduced to The Grief Recovery Method while attending a Helping Children with Loss online program, seeking ways to support my daughter after the loss of her best friend to suicide. However, loss is something I have not been a stranger to. Beginning at the age of 14, I lost a classmate to suicide, and throughout high school, I attended the funerals of classmates and the parents of classmates, including my own father who tragically drowned. Over the years, I've grieved recurrent pregnancy loss, failed relationships, and the loss of loved ones to overdose and murder.
As a public health professional, I understand that grief is a significant public health concern. Much of our responses to life are shaped by unresolved grief. I have always felt called to walk alongside others through their grief, and I am honored to be able to do so with you.
