Welcome, I'm Wendy Wennberg a fully Trained & Certified Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist®. I provide both In-Person and Online Grief Recovery Method®services.
I personally partner with individuals to help them release the emotional pain that is holding them back from happiness and moving forward in their lives.
I myself have experienced painful and life-altering losses during my late 30's, 40's and 50's including the death of a life partner, family members, job displacement, health issues, pet loss, moving and natural disasters. Through these experiences I have developed a deep compassion and empathy for the mass of emotions that a griever often experiences. I'm fully dedicated to making sure others don’t end up losing years or decades of their lives suffering due to grief.
Sadly, I was not equipped to deal with any of these losses when they occurred. My friends and family told me time heals all, be grateful for what you had, you need to be strong for others. Nothing they said seemed to help, at times it even hurt more. After years of feeling lost I started researching online for some relief and saw the Grief Recovery Method®website. After reviewing their website and being inspired by the quote "We're Taught How To Acquire Things, Not What To Do When We Lose Them" John W. James, I signed up to learn the tools needed to stop suffering. Through my own experience of healing, I uncovered my life passion to help others move beyond their pain and bring happiness back into their lives.
My personal journey of continuous education has always been very important throughout my life. Over the years I have attained an MBA along with Professional Studies in Certified Professional Coaching from the University of Miami, Florida. In addition, I completed a number of certifications including Life Coaching, Transformation Coaching, Neuro-Linguistic Programing® and Certified Master Hypnotist from Bennett Stellar University. Along with an ACC certification from the International Coaching Federation.
I offer day and evening appointments both at my office and online nationwide. In addition, I also offer all 3 Group workshops on a bi-monthly basis at my office: The Grief Recovery Group Workshop, When Children Grieve Workshop and Pet Loss Workshop.

This program is for people who prefer to work one-on-one rather than in a group setting. The 7-session format utilizes the same proven materials as the group programs and can be completed in-person or online with a Grief Recovery Method Specialist specifically trained to help people move through loss with dignity and respect.
Our support groups offer a safe, evidence-based environment for grievers to take effective and lasting action, no matter the type of loss experienced. These groups are led by Grief Recovery Method Specialists, trained and certified by the Grief Recovery Institute.
The vast majority of parents find themselves at a loss when trying to help their children deal with any grieving experience that impacts them. This 4-week program is designed to teach parents, and others who work with children, the necessary tools to help children effectively deal with their broken hearts, no matter the loss they are facing.
The loss of a pet can be emotionally devastating. Sadly, the impact of the heartbreak of this type of loss is often downplayed or ignored by friends and family. This 6-meeting program is focused on offering pet owners an effective mechanism for taking action to move through and beyond their grief.
