One of my earliest memories of loss was when my next-door neighbor moved away and my two older brothers left for college. I remember feeling a deep sadness I couldn’t quite name. By aged seven, I felt alone in a way that lingered.
By the time I was twenty-five, both of my grandparents, the only two I'd ever known died. The experience of death became painfully real when my oldest brother died unexpectedly of a massive heart attack. I was twenty-six. He was thirty-seven. I couldn’t sleep for an entire week. I was devastated.
Since then, I’ve experienced multiple losses: addiction, infant death, divorce, remaining sibling, death of my parents—each one reshaping my understanding of grief. For years, I carried unresolved pain, unanswered questions, and emotional weight that no one seemed to talk about.
Then I found the Grief Recovery Method. And I found hope.
This method gave me tools—not just to cope, but to heal. It helped me complete the unfinished emotional business of grief and reclaim my energy, my clarity, and my sense of purpose. Today, I’m proud to be a Grief Recovery Method Specialist.
