Beverly shared her experience with grief and could relate to each one of us in class. I felt herd, not judge and she has a very comforting way of speaking. Each class went by fast and cant believe it is over. I will continue to keep in contact with Beverly as well as one of my group mates. I have also shared with another girlfriend whose husband is dying of cancer and recommended she start the next class!

Julie Green is one of the wisest, most compassionate people I know. I am so grateful she was my Grief Recovery Method facilitator. I felt protected and supported during this vulnerable time. I recommend taking her class and helping yourself recover from grief and loss.

JoBeth knows from her own experience with the program how to facilitate it. I appreciated the way she made me feel like I was in a safe place to be vulnerable and say what I needed to say to move forward. When I started the program I told her I wasn't afraid of the hard work needed to move forward, but I didn't want to be in the same place or condition I was a year from now. I believe I can safely say I am in a better place than I was at the beginning of this program and will be even better a year from now.

Matt laid out the ground rules from time one and would remind us at each of the meeting that everything must remain confidential, not to give a tissue until the person asks, etc. He was always good at listening and was willing to meet individually if needed.

Jess is genuine and caring. She set the example of how to better communicate and showed us that it was ok and safe to be raw and vulnerable in the group.

Our Faciltator was very knowledgeable about the Grief Recovery Program. Whatever questions we had she was able to give us the information we needed to to help assist us in moving forward in completing our unresolved past or present trauma especially with our relationship graph so we can have the information to complete our final letter. Going forward, this program will help me to continue to make other graphs that I know will help me to move forward with unresolved grief. Overall I got to meet some amazing people that was caring and supportive. Our Faciltator deserves the best rating for her knowledge in Grief Recovery, time, and resources.

The Grief Recovery Programme has been crucial in enabling me to fully acknowledge and deal with my grief at the loss of my husband of four decades. Julie Shepherd provided an invaluable guide through the programme with kindness and compassion. Her patience was invaluable as I sometimes struggled with my emotions when trying to express my feelings and to understand my own thinking surrounding my loss. The programme has enabled me to remember with love and to celebrate the rich and profound relationship I had with my husband, while moving forward to a new stage in my life. Julie helped me understand that moving forward doesn’t mean that Nick is forgotten but that he moves forward with me. Nick is part of me, he helped me become the woman I am today and that is a woman capable of remembering with love while learning to live and celebrate a new life. I still miss Nick and sometimes that loss feels overwhelming yet I now have the tools to deal with that loss and I am learning to remember Nick with love and happiness. What we had was special, sometimes joyful, sometimes frustrating but always grounded by love. That is my reality and that is what is now allowing me to live with love and joy.
