Her vulnerability is what stood out to me. Obviously someone is certified, has been through trainings, has experience leading groups, but her vulnerability in sharing her journeys through grief and the Grief Recovery Method was unexpected. It made me think "she gets it, she's been there". It also helped with explaining the homework assignments and reassured me to "trust the process".

I really appreciated having Brian Magee navigate us through the work included in the book, there were quite a few key pieces of guidance he is trained in that he was able to explain to us so the work we were doing was more effective. i.e. listening (heart with ears); reading aloud apologies, forgives, and significant emotional statements in the third person rather than as if I was speaking directly to the person I lost.

Tammy was encouraging everyone all over the way and giving additional consultations when it was needed. She created such an open and warm atmosphere at the group. I’m just incredibly grateful for the chance to do it with her as a fasilitator

With David having a very recent loss, his ability to understand and guide us through the course was exceptional. Although not something that is a prerequisite for the facilitator to have to "lead by example", his own personal experience was quite helpful when I had questions.
