I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in my own personal work as I trained to support others. The instructor was super friendly, patient, and empathetic. She is a wealth of knowledge and encouraging. I loved hearing about my classmates and their personalities and hearing about their experiences during this training.

I found that the way GRM was created to allow for both deep emotional grief that was unprocessed for years while at the same time also having such a clear treatment frame allows for people to access unresolved emotional damage is unique in that I believe it can be used safely in an outpatient setting. I am incredibly excited to add the GRM regularly in my work with others as a psychologist, and am inspired to see other practitioners and educators help people through sharing their own personal journey of healing. In one word: TRANSFORMATIONAL!

I came to the GRM as a last resort. I had tried grief support groups, counseling, even medication. I confess that I didn't think it would change anything for me. Boy, was I wrong. The person who walked out of that room was hundreds of pounds lighter than the person who walked in. Cole and Sandi made sure we were blanketed in safety and compassion. I am so excited to bring to others the change and relief that 8 years of therapy did not bring me, but 4 days with these amazing humans and this knowledge did!

So much personal gain from the Grief Recovery Method, which I had not done before the training; and our facilitator seamlessly modeled both the program components and how to guide groups/individuals through the program! The four day online zoom certification training was done in a very effective and professional manner. Our instructor was very knowledgeable and did a very good job portraying all of the information, and exemplifying the skills needed to be a Grief Recovery Method specialist.

I learned so much from the material covered and from the others in my class, including some real surprises about my own experiences of grief. Grief that I thought had healed or lessened with time turned out to affect me deeply still, and I'm glad to have this opportunity to recover from it while learning first-hand what a powerful tool the Grief Recovery Method is. I can see that I have a lot to learn still, both about myself and about how to help others, and I love that there are resources and support available to me as I continue.

Once I went through the Grief Recovery Method, I knew that it was the transformative program that speaks heart language to hurting people. I am delighted to go into the world with the mandate, "tell the truth about yourself all the time" because with this, I am able to move heart first as a professional.

I was very impressed with my instructors ability to navigate the material while managing the room efficiently. Ed is caring and passionate about the method and sharing it with the world. I was comfortable and shown grace while also being emotionally protected. While I am emotionally spent, I learned a great deal. I was able to work through an issue I'd carried for many years. I look forward to working in the community and sharing the freedom this method promotes.

I walked into this training expecting to just get taught the materials we would need to teach but actually walking through the method helped me grasp the concept better. It is a class you have to commit to in order to get the most out of it but it is worth it! The only downside I have with this course is that most classes are on the weekend. If you have little ones that can mean an additional cost to find childcare.
